Biography

Justin Cross is a marketing leader, public speaker, writer, and advocate whose educational focus is on storytelling and content strategy.

As Marketing Director of Events + Programs at In Defense of Animals, Justin leads campaigns, partnerships, and communications advancing animal rights and environmental protection.

Previously, Justin led global content strategy and brand marketing for organizations including Horizontal Talent, Robert Half, and IntelliPro. In those roles, he directed campaigns, executive communications, website rebrands, social media, email marketing, podcasts, and thought leadership initiatives.

He also has an entertainment background that includes writing for CBS Interactive, GQ, Outside, Playboy, SBNation, and TimeOut Los Angeles with 20 years of performing stand-up comedy at clubs and colleges across the United States. Justin also hosted a comedy and news podcast with guests that included well-known politicians, entertainers, and activists.

Outside of work, Justin serves on the board of Novy’s Ark Dog Rescue—and is one of the 14 Jacksonville Jaguars fans living outside Jacksonville, Florida.
